Amazing. The first and most defining word that comes to mind when I recall my experience as a delegate at International Congress 2013 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Imagine over 800 delegates and 80 staffers from over 120 AIESEC countries represented in one location going through a revolution of its own. I was able to engage and learn with AIESECers from a cross the world and better understand what the impact of this organization could truly be. I better understood where our LC, AIESEC in McGill, and our national entity, AIESEC Canada, fit in the big picture of the world’s largest youth-run organization. Moreover, what our impact, my impact, could be if things were done right.
I was so inspired that I ran three bring-back sessions the first three days I arrived back in Canada. I realized that I have the opportunity to make the world a better place, and I wanted others to see that too.
There are many pictures from the conference, none of which can truly express what the experience meant, but this one comes close. I chose this one as we have Canadian AIESECers from all over the world getting together in Sharm El Sheikh. Just a small glimpse into how AIESEC connects the world .
